In January 2013 Tbilisi minibus drivers went on strike. The main reasons, citing the drivers, were that their working conditions were unbearable. After a week, however, and with relatively no change in working conditions, drivers went back to work. Negotiations between the drivers and the Tbilisi Minibus Company are still ongoing. The drivers have stated that if talks are not successful, they will strike again in March.
Jumpstart Georgia has visualized this story based on the narratives of more than 50 minibus drivers. Jumpstart Georgia has also requested information from Tbilisi Minibus Company and will update this story as new information comes to light.
