UN Women in the framework of the EU-funded program "Innovative Action for Gender Equality in Georgia" (IAGE) together with Center for Social Sciences conducted the research of the needs and priorities of women residing in isolated mountainous settings of Georgia. The study provides an overview of the challenges to women’s access to employment, health care and other services, as well as attitudes and norms on gender-related issues such as violence against women and family inheritance.
JumpStart Georgia visualized some of the key findings of the study. The infographic shows how discriminatory attitudes affect women’s economic opportunities.
