During the last 6 years, employed women in Georgia earned, on average, 318 GEL less per month than men. What's more, even though men and women both do not like their current remuneration, less women express dissatisfaction with their job. This could be because of different expectations that the society has from women, as 74% of Georgians think that ‘A woman is more valued for her family than for her success in a career’, and 52% believe that ‘A woman cannot be as successful in a career as a man because of her family and housework’.
