Center Point Group

The Center Point Group is a large conglomeration of 70 different companies involved in the biggest construction scandal in Georgia. It was founded by the former senior members of the Georgian Parliament, Vakhtang Rcheulishvili and Rusudan Kervalishvili, who are also the owners of companies being part of the Group. By using a sophisticated Pyramid/Ponzi scheme the Center Point Group enticed thousands of customers to buy yet unbuilt apartments while mishandling USD 310 million paid by the customers for the construction of these apartments. As a result, nearly 6,200 families (around 30,000 individuals) have lost their money and their apartments most of which remain unbuilt or unfinished.

The infographic shows Center Point Group’s all 70 companies and their three owners: Vakhtang Rcheulishvili, Maia Rcheulishvili and Rusudan Kervalishvili. The figures indicate the percentage of shares owned in those companies, as of September 2010, when a company called Dexus took over their management.
