Rugby is our game - While Georgians have played lelo, a game similar to rugby, for hundreds of years, the Georgian national rugby team is relatively new. Georgia played its first international competition in 1989 and is one of the world's fastest growing rugby nations. Georgia's performance in the European Nations Cup and the World Cup has led to calls for the Six Nations to be expanded and for Georgia to play against more challenging and higher ranked teams. -
