How do Georgians die?  - 40% of all deaths in Georgia are caused by heart diseases. While 80% of these deaths can be prevented, not many Georgians take preventable measures, such as adopting a healthy diet, regular physical activity, moderate use of alcohol, and giving up smoking.

 80% of deaths caused by heart diseases can be prevented. 

In Georgia, the main risk factor for heart diseases is high blood pressure. 
More than ⅓ of the population has high blood pressure. 
Out of those, more than ½ do not get treatment. 

How can heart diseases be prevented? 
Healthy diet 
Regular physical activity 
No smoking
Moderate alcohol use
