Between June-October 2012 Transparency International Georgia (TI Georgia) monitored 282 hearings on 142 administrative cases in the first instance courts of Tbilisi, Batumi, Khelvacharui, Gori and Telavi. TI Georgia observed the court administration and judges across a number of specific criteria, including reasonable time and punctuality, right to a public hearing, handling of the hearing by the judge, inquisitorial principle (judge's initiative) and equality of arms.
Based on the statistical data collected by TI Georgia, the organization visualized the observance of these principles by the courts.
